ABOUT US

Strikewave was founded as a newsletter in October of 2018 with one goal: bringing worker struggle, from the shop floor to the picket line, to your inbox—and we hope to help you continue the fight along the way. We want to offer fresh perspectives and news useful to everyone from the unorganized worker to the seasoned labor activist.

Since 2018, we’ve incorporated as a certified 501(c)3 nonprofit cooperative corporation in Troy, New York, the one-time home of labor organizer James Connolly. Our work has been cited across the media world from CNN to NPR, and we’ve broken key stories and published incisive opinion and criticism. Strikewave editors have bylines in publications like The Nation, The Progressive, The Guardian, The Baffler, In These Times, Vice, Splinter, the New York Times, and Gawker (rip).
